It happened around 7 a.m. on US-70 East at South Beston Road, just east of Goldsboro near the Lenoir County line.

Officials with Wayne County Schools told ABC11 that one of their school buses with 11 students on board was headed to Eastern Wayne High School when a van slammed into the side of the bus.
Six students were transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. Parents of the other five students picked up their children at the scene.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
