Ben & Jerry's unveils 'Anchorman' ice cream honoring Ron Burgundy

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt.

The ice cream company posted a picture of its limited ice cream dubbed "Scotchy Scotch Scotch" on its website.

The flavor was created in honor of Ron Burgundy, the San Diego television news man with a penchant for all things scotch.

"Scotchy, Scotch, Scotch is a delicious ice cream and I hope Ben and Jerry consider my other suggestions," said Ron Burgundy in a statement. "Malt liquor marshmallow, well liquor bourbon peanut butter, and cheap white wine sherbet."

Burgundy was made famous by actor Will Ferrell in the 2004 hit comedy movie "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy".

Ben & Jerry's say it's a creamy concoction of butterscotch ice cream with ribbons of butterscotch swirl.

"Scotchy Scotch Scotch" hits stores ahead of the Dec. 20 release of the highly anticipated sequel to the film, "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues."

The limited batch ice cream flavor is available at participating scoop shops across the county. Pints of the flavor will arrive on store shelves over the next few weeks.
