According to Willis ISD, it happened at Lynn Lucas Middle School at around 9am. That school was placed on lockdown, as was nearby C.C. Hardy Elementary.
The district says within minutes of the intruder being reported, law enforcement took an 18-year-old into custody. They say the suspect didn't have any weapons. At this point, a reason for that person being on the campus isn't known.
By 10am, the lockdown was lifted. According to the district, calls went to parents about the incident.
