Raleigh bottle attack victim dies; suspect charged with murder

More serious charges have been filed after a 64-year-old man who was beaten by a bottle during an attempted robbery died.

Raleigh police say Curtis Woodard died Wednesday at WakeMed.

He was taken there after the Oct. 8 attack in the 900 block of East Hargett Street.

Britis Previlion, of New Jersey, who was accused of assaulting Woodard, has now been charged with murder.

He remains in the Wake County Jail.
