Power restored in Wake Forest

Several neighborhoods in northwest Wake Forest were left in the dark Monday morning due to major power outage.

Areas along Durham Road, and most of downtown Wake Forest were affected.

The town said about 3,250 Wake Forest Power customers lost electricity around 11:30 a.m. Power was restored by 12:50.

It said the cause of the problem was blown fuses that triggered a larger problem.
