Neighbors say they've been reaching out to police for help, and still haven't received any answers.

"I'm afraid he might retaliate, by harming me or my kids or my husband," said a woman who lives in the neighborhood.

The woman was describing the most recent attempted robbery in the area. It was dark out Sunday evening when a man approached her husband in their driveway and demanded cash.

"He charged the gun and pointed it at his head," she said. "My husband was in shock. My husband said 'I don't have any money.'"

She says the suspect ran away empty handed.

Friday morning, another neighbor was walking his dog in the 4400 block of Cardinal Grove, in the same area, when a man approached with a gun looking for more money.

The same thing happened to Cary Lamay the previous night in his driveway on Stowecroft Lane.

"I was nervous and afraid, but I didn't want him to see that," said Lamay.

Lamay says he calmly gave the robber everything in his wallet, and the guy ran away, but not before cocking a pistol, and pressing it against his ribcage.

"He took out the gun, held up, was pointing it at me directly," said Lamay.

"I just want some general information so I can protect myself, and other residents can do the same," said Stowecroft HOA Vice President Michael Young.

Young says he's reached out to police several times since last week to get more information for his neighbors, but he said aside from first responses to the crimes when they happened, detectives aren't saying much. It's leaving neighbors to live in fear.

"A lot of us are just nervous to walk to our mailboxes, nervous to walk our dogs," said Young.

In the last seven days, three armed robberies and a break-in have happened in the neighborhood. Police are looking into whether the cases are connected.

The suspect has only been described as a black male in his teens to 20s who was armed with a handgun.
