Teen charged in Durham shooting

DURHAM, N.C.

Markecio Barker, 16, of Durham, was captured by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Joint Fugitive Task Force.

Barker has already been indicted by a Durham grand jury on a murder charge along with 21-year-old Christopher Alexander Hicks.

Investigators say the pair is responsible for killing 22-year-old Jevontez Deshawn Massey. He was shot November 5 at Morning Glory Avenue and Belt Street around 3:45 p.m. Massey was declared dead at the hospital a short time later.
