Man charged with shooting woman in head in Roanoke Rapids

ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C.

Investigators have charged 30-year-old Joshua Arrington with two counts of attempted murder.

Deputies say the victim called for help after Arrington shot her as she was driving away from an argument at a home on Sedum Lane.

The woman's seven-year-old son was in the car with her at the time, but he was not hurt.

The victim was taken to the hospital. Her condition is unknown.

Arrington is in the Halifax County Jail. He's charged with two counts of attempted murder, discharging a weapon into occupied property, and injury to personal property .
