Raleigh police trying to identify Subway, Ace Hardware robber

RALEIGH, N.C.

The first robbery was November 4 shortly after 7:30 p.m. at a Subway restaurant at 4003 Wake Forest Road.

The second was November 7 shortly before 7 p.m. at an Ace Hardware store at 6196 Falls of Neuse Rd.

In both incidents, the man came in and handed a robbery note to an employee who was working at a cash register. Also, in both cases, the suspect displayed that he was armed with handgun; in the video, he is seen partially removing it from his jacket pocket as he interacts with an employee. After both crimes, the suspect was last seen fleeing on foot.

The suspect is described as being a slender white male, possibly in his 30s. During both incidents, the suspect, who is of short to medium height, was wearing a green jacket and a blue baseball cap.
