Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison is seeking a fourth term in office.

Harrison made it official Monday.

He will run for re-election as a Republican.

Harrison has served in the office for the past 11 years.

In a statement, Harrison said he loves his job and it's been an honor to serve the people of Wake County.

He'll face competition from at least one candidate.

In October, Democrat Willie Rowe, a former Wake County deputy, announced he's seeking Harrison's job.
