Fayetteville police are looking for a bank robber.

The Carter Bank & Trust at the corner of Rosehill Road and Country Club Drive was robbed around 3:40 p.m. Monday.

Police say an unidentified white male entered the bank, approached the counter, and handed a note to the teller demanding money. The suspect obtained an undetermined amount of money from the bank and fled.

Investigators say the suspect was seen entering the passenger side of a white-cream colored SUV as a getaway driver sped off toward Ramsey Street.

The suspect was described as a white male, around 45 to 55 years old, and wearing a black baseball hat and camouflage jacket.

Anyone with information concerning the bank robbery or the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at (910) 433-1856.
