Brooklyn mugger pretended to be police officer

NEW YORK

Police say he entered an apartment building on Nevins Street in the Boerum Hill section of Brooklyn on the morning of Nov. 15th.

He told the 33-year old resident that he was a police officer, then took her purse and fled the scene.

The woman was not hurt.

The suspect is described as 6 feet tall, thin build. wearing a grey and black sweater, black cap, blue jeans and dark shoes.
