2 Durham shootings may be related

DURHAM, N.C.

On Monday, 24-year-old Patrick Daniel Holmes was shot and killed in the 1300 block of Fidelity Drive. Police found the man lying dead in the road when they arrived at the scene.

Less than 24 hours later, two teenage brothers were found shot on Grace Lane. The brothers live just a few doors down from where the Monday shooting took place.

Tuesday's incident happened around 1:30 p.m. at a vacant home on Grace Lane. Police said two boys, ages 14 and 16, were injured.

One of the boys who was shot walked wounded down the block and flagged down a Durham County senior citizen transit bus and pleaded for help from the driver.

ABC11 has learned the 14 year old was shot multiple times.

Durham Police have yet to publicly identify the teens. A spokesperson says one teen is listed as stable and the other as critical. Neighbors say the mother has been with her sons at the local hospital since this happened.

Anyone with information regarding either shooting is asked to call Durham police at (919) 560-4440.
