Officials in Raleigh are investigating the cause of a fire that badly damaged a home Friday morning.
The fire broke out around 9 a.m. at a home in the 500 block of Freeman Street.

Fire crews said the blaze started in a back bedroom. No one was at home at the time.
Fire fighters said it appeared the home is a total loss.
The cause is still under investigation.
