North Carolina Governor leaves state for wedding anniversary

North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory is officially hanging out the do not disturb sign.

In a news release Monday, the governor's office says McCrory and his wife Ann are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary by leaving the state for a week.

Where they are headed was not disclosed.

In McCrory's absence, Lt. Governor Dan Forest will serve as acting governor.
