It comes after a series of rapes reported in one area of Parkton.
Deputies arrested 31-year-old Alfonso Chacon on December 12.
At least six women have reported being sexually assaulted since November 28.
Investigators say all of the women being targeted were on the social media website known as backpage.com.
They say the women went to Chacon's house and were taken to a wooded area where they were assaulted.
Chacon is currently at the Robeson County Detention Center under a $500,000 bond.
