The Durham County Sheriff's Office said Monday it wants to speak with a person of interest in the shooting death of a man earlier this month.

Saul Botello Abrimz, 31, was found shot to death at a home 200 block of Andrews Chapel Road - a rural area between Raleigh and Durham - on December 11.

Now, investigators are looking for 37-year-old Manuel Alejandro Lainez in the case. Deputies said he's also wanted for auto theft and may be driving a stolen white 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport with N.C. license plate BMP-3978.

Anyone with information about Alvarado's whereabouts is asked to call Durham CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200 or the Sheriff's Crime Tip Line at (919) 560-7151. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to the arrest of persons wanted in felony crimes and callers never have to identify themselves.
