Fayetteville police search for bank robber

Police in Fayetteville are searching for a suspect in a Dec. 19 bank robbery.

Officers responded to the PNC Bank located in the 400 block of Ramsey Street in reference to a report of a robbery just before noon that day.

Police said the female suspect entered the bank, approached the counter, and handed a note to the teller demanding money.  The suspect obtained an undetermined amount of money from the bank and then fled the scene.

According to police, the suspect was described as a black female 5'7" to 5'8" tall. During the robbery, she was wearing a black jacket, white t-shirt, with black pants with sunglasses and a red toboggan style cap.
