Authorities working to ID Harris County high schoolers in topless pics posted on Instagram

HOUSTON

Baytown police say they are having a hard time identifying who these girls are and if in fact they are even students at Robert E. Lee High School. But students say they know who these girls are, and they are mortified.

"She cries. She's been crying in school all day," student Alana Ailles said.

If there's a lesson learned at Lee High School, Ailles says she's learned it through seeing two of her classmates humiliated on Instagram.

"I knew two girls -- one was wearing underwear, one was wearing nothing. A lot of girls were wearing just nothing," Ailles said.

The nude selfies have gone viral at Robert E. Lee. Ailles says the girls sent their naked photos to male students.

"Probably like boyfriends or friends," junior Ashley Rayon said.

Those friends, according to students, may have in turn posted the photos on an Instagram page for the world to see.

"There's a lot of pervs out there, too, that's probably watching all of that," parent Robin Rayon said.

Baytown police are investigating and said the topless girls were seen in compromising positions. Police say they have not been able to ID the girls just yet since they can't see their faces clearly.

"They kind of got themselves into this. They should not have been taking pictures like that in the first place," Ailles said.

A Goose Creek ISD representative told Eyewitness News they are working with police to identify the girls but don't have any further information.

"Honestly, that probably ruined a lot of people's lives," Ailles said.

Ailles says a lesson learned the hard way.

There was mention of girls from neighboring schools who may have also been a part of this Instagram page. We checked with La Port police and Harris County Precinct 3 Constables and they say there have been no other reports.

That Instagram page has been removed.
