Wake, Durham, Cumberland other county schools schedule make-up days following snow, ice cancelations

RALEIGH

In Wake County, traditional Wake County students will go on Presidents' Day (Feb. 17); Friday, March 28; Monday, April 21; and Wednesday, June 11.

Durham Public Schools students on a traditional calendar will make up their snow days on Feb. 17 and March 28; for year-round students, the make-up dates are Feb. 14 and Feb. 17.

In Cumberland County, all students will attend school on February 17, 2014.

In addition, the make-up dates below have been scheduled:

  • Traditional Calendar students will attend school on March 26, 2014.
  • Year-Round Calendar students will attend school on March 14, 2014.
  •  Howard Health and Life Sciences High students will attend school on March 10, 2014.
  • Early College High Schools and Wilkins High School students will attend school on April 18, 2014.

Chatham County Schools plan to use Feb. 14 and March 7 as make-up days. If additional days are missed this year due to inclement weather, they will have to use Saturdays and/or consider using part of Spring Break.

Franklin County Schools will use Monday, Feb. 17 as a school day to make-up for the missed school day on Wednesday, Jan. 22. There's no word yet on this week's make-up days.

Johnston County lists their inclement weather make-up days as Feb. 17, March 14, and April 14.

Orange County notes their students will now have a full day of school on Wednesday, Feb. 5. There's no information about making up other days yet.
