Huge fight breaks out at FSU, Shaw basketball game

RALEIGH

It happened at Shaw University during the school's matchup against Fayetteville State University.

University officials said when there was about 30 seconds left in the game; fans began to shove each other in the stands.

Video of the fight showed police officers trying to separate people.

Officials reportedly had to use pepper spray to break up the melee, and then decided to clear the gym before finishing the game.

No arrests were made, but everyone was told to go outside.

The game finished with Shaw beating FSU 65-57.

Earlier in the match up, FSU Guard Timothy Haggie was taken to the hospital after he hit his head on the floor while grabbing a rebound.

At last word he was in good condition.
