It happened on Middle Creek Park Avenue in Apex.

There were 20 students from Middle Creek High School on the bus. Two students and the bus driver suffered minor injuries in the accident.
Police said 16-year-old Kenneth Alexander left the scene after the crash in his gray Honda. He was later arrested and charged with felony hit-and-run.
There was minor damage to the school bus. Another bus had to be called to the scene to take the students on board home.
