2nd suspicious incident with teen reported

FAYETTEVILLE

The report came a day after the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office reported another incident involving a Gray's Creek High School student.

Fayetteville police said around 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning, a 13-year-old student said a man pulled up alongside her in the area of Bayleaf Drive near Palmetto Lane (Lafayette Village) in a white 4-door vehicle.

The driver opened the passenger door to the vehicle and started talking to the girl as if he knew her.  The teen kept walking, and eventually the man drove away.

During the conversation with the teen, there were no attempts to force her into the vehicle.
