Durham police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that injured a pedestrian early Sunday morning.

It happened in the 900 block of Fayetteville Street.

Police say a 38-year-old man was hit, and the car that hit him fled the scene.

The man had to be taken to the hospital; his injuries are non-life-threatening.
