Officers heard shots being fired, and found the victim, Shyeem Burton, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his leg.
Officers were also able to locate the suspect, 24-year-old Randy Perry Jr., and took him into custody.
Perry has been charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
Burton was taken to a hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
