One of the suspects reportedly fired gunshots while inside, but no one was struck.

As the suspects fled the scene, authorities said they encountered a customer who had run out of the business during the crime. One of the suspects then shot the man, who was later identifed as 48-year-old Christopher Tyrone McElroy, in the abdomen before fleeing.

When officers arrived, they found McElroy in the parking lot. He was taken to WakeMed with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are currently searching for the suspects.

The first suspect is described as an African American man standing between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall and weighing about 180 to 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a white shirt and a tan hat.

The second suspect is also described as an African American man, standing between 5 feet 8 to 11 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a "graffiti" print and jeans.
