RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Construction is set to begin on the largest tower along Raleigh's Beltline.

Monday, developers of an 18-story building will hold a groundbreaking ceremony to kick off construction, which is set to officially start in December.

The 300,000 square feet building will house office and retail space and is slated to be completed in April 2016.

North Hills Tower Two is the latest addition to the expanding property off Six Forks Road.

Back in April, Kane Realty opened a one acre park and amphitheater in North Hills. It cost more than 10 million dollars -- another sign that the people behind the expanding shopping center are willing to spend big to attract more business.

The groundbreaking ceremony will get underway at 10 a.m.
