RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Thousands of veterans and their spouses attended a job fair at Vaughn Towers at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The job fair was organized by RecruitMilitary, which puts on more than 100 similar job fairs in 49 cities annually.

More than 50 companies are registered to attend Thursday's event and share job opportunities with veterans.

Exhibitors include Time Warner Cable, AAA Carolinas, State Farm Insurance Co., Bandwidth.com Inc., and the City of Raleigh.

RecruitMilitary has held 15 job fairs in Raleigh, helping nearly 5,000 veterans and their spouses find jobs.
