Police in Chapel Hill are investigating an armed robbery and kidnapping case that started in the Wendy's parking lot on Scarlett Drive.

CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Police in Chapel Hill are investigating an armed robbery and kidnapping case that started in the Wendy's parking lot on Scarlett Drive.

In a news release, police said it happened September 27. The suspect showed a silver handgun and forced a victim to drive him to Raleigh. The suspect took cash and released the victim otherwise unharmed.

The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male wearing black sweatpants, a black sweat top, a dirty orange shirt and no shoes. He had a leaf tattoo on his left hand and another tattoo on his left middle finger.
