Church van crash in Moore County injures several

MOORE COUNTY (WTVD) -- A church van crashed in Moore County leaving several people injured on Friday night.

Officials said that the van was headed South on U.S. 1 bypass when it flipped over.

The roof of the van was cut and folded in order to get the last person out of the van.

The driver and one other person were airlifted to a Chapel Hill hospital with serious injuries, five other patients were taken to Moore Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash is now being investigated.
