WAKE COUNTY (WTVD) -- Dust off those resumes, the first ever restaurant and hotel job fair will be held in Wake County early next year.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Raleigh Convention Center.

The Capital Area Workforce Development, Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau, Raleigh Convention Center, and North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association are partnering together to host the event.

The county's tourism industry is growing, but the President and CEO of the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau, Dennis Edwards said we need more workers to keep up with the growth.

"The tourism industry is as large as it's ever been here in Wake County with over 15 million visitors spending $2.5 billion annually and supporting more than 25,500 jobs locally, But we need address the workforce shortage our restaurants and hotels are experiencing to sustain and foster the growth expected for the industry."

All hotels and restaurants in the county are encouraged to exhibit at the event.

The cost is a $125 and vendors can register online.

If you're a job seeker, attendance and parking is free and you can register through the website as well.
