Durham police investigating shooting on city's east side

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham Police Department detectives are investigating a shooting in the 28-hundred block of Ashe Street.

They got the call just after 6 a.m.

Video from the scene showed an SUV in a ditch and medical workers putting a man in an ambulance.

Police said the man has serious injuries after he was shot in the chest.
