Athens Drive marches in Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade

PHILADELPHIA (WTVD) -- A local high school marching band took part in a big parade Thursday.

Raleigh's Athens Drive High School band was one of only 19 ensembles chosen for the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The group's 136 members aren't strangers to big time performances. They've also marched in the national Memorial Day parade in Washington DC and at Walt Disney World.
