NCCU locked down after report of suspicious person on campus

DURHAM (WTVD) -- North Carolina Central University in Durham was briefly locked down Wednesday following a report of a suspicious person on campus.

Officials said they got a report of a person with a weapon in the 500-block of Nelson Street just after 1 p.m.

Police responded, but nothing was found.

An all-clear was issued just before 1:45 p.m.
