Stars of Education to be honored October 12

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- We often forget about the community of educators and supporters behind our student's success. On October 12, Wake Education Partnership will honor those individuals who shine in leadership, service and dedication to the Wake County Public School System.

The annual Stars of Education gala and dinner celebrates and honors those who form the backbone of public education in our schools.

Six community leaders will be inducted into the Wake County Public School System Hall of Fame. Those leaders include Robert "Bob" Catapano, Wanda Denning, Richard Murphy, Nancy Olson, Orage Quarles III and Bob Rankin.
