RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Fans of ABC's hit show "Shark Tank" always want to know what happens to companies after they get the Sharks to make an investment.

On Friday night, that mystery will be solved.

A new show called "Beyond the Tank" airs for the first time, and a local company was picked to be on its new season.

Two Raleigh natives, one an N.C. State graduate, the other from Appalachian State, pitched their company "Frill" to the Sharks back in March.

Barbara and Mr. Wonderful bit. Now, "Beyond the Tank" will show viewers how Kate Steadman and Sharon Bui are doing with their company.

Our cameras were rolling as Shark investor Kevin O'Leary walked into a private party in Raleigh to meet his new business partners.

"What a great team we're going to be," O'Leary said. "This thing's going to be huge."

O'Leary and fellow Shark Barbara Corcoran invested $100,000 with Bui and Steadman's company, a made-to-order clothing company for sororities and bridal parties.

"It's kind of scary, honestly, we started with $350 in our bank accounts," Bui said. "We come from really humble beginnings."

"Business is hard, it's hard!" O'Leary explained. "They don't know how tough it's going to get yet. We're celebrating tonight...the work starts tomorrow."

The ABC cameras are following the "Frill" girls to see how they do as they build their business.

"Beyond the Tank" documents businesses picked on "Shark Tank" and follows their successes and failures.

"All of this is going to happen to them, all of this excitement, a ton of orders, their logistics, their supply chain, it's not ready for this," O'Leary said. "'Beyond the Tank' is going to show you how we fix it. They're either going to be very successful or a blazing failure in front of the cameras...that's what's going to happen because we're going to follow them now."

The season premiere of "Beyond The Tank" airs Friday night at 9 p.m., right after "Shark Tank" on ABC11.

Viewers will get to see more about "Frill" on an upcoming episode.
