Watch out Avengers, the Fantastic Four is coming your way.
The trailer for the new "Fantastic Four" film from Marvel and 20th Century Fox was released today, and it is causing a major buzz online. Starring Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, and Jamie Bell, the film focuses on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which grants them with incredible physical powers they must use to battle a friend turned foe back on Earth.
This isn't the first motion picture adaptation of Marvel's classic superhero foursome: a 2005 adaptation and subsequent 2007 sequel of "Fantastic Four" included Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Michael Chiklis and Chris Evans, who would later end up playing Steve Rogers in Marvel's "Captain America" and "Avengers" films.
However, this newest "Fantastic Four" movie is being released by 20th Century Fox, and will not be part of the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe which started in 2008 with Jon Favreau's "Iron Man." So don't expect to see these fantastic heroes make an appearance in "Ant-Man" or "Avengers: Age of Ultron" later this year. "Fantastic Four" will be released August 7, 2015.
