Every day, there seems to be people doing annoying and inappropriate things that makes life harder for the rest of us. From the drivers who unabashedly take up two parking spaces with glee, to the endless army of litterers who consider the entire earth to be their own personal trash can, rude and nasty people always find a way to make our days just a little bit worse.

But fear not, those who still believe in common decency and the American way, because Jimmy Kimmel plans to stop these obnoxious, inconsiderate foes in their tracks with "The Finger of Shame."

Here's how the Finger of Shame works: if you see someone doing something inconsiderate in public, point at them, take a picture of the thoughtless act they are committing (make sure your finger's in the shot!), and send it to @JimmyKimmel on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #FingerOfShame. If we all work together, we can bring decency back to this world!

Here's some examples of people using the #FingerOfShame to help change the world.

To participate in Jimmy's "Finger of Shame" segment, when you see spontaneous rude or distasteful behavior occurring in a public place - take a picture, point a finger at the action and post it to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag: #FingerOfShame. Don't trespass, do anything illegal or invade people's privacy - just shoot what you observe in public. JKL may contact you.

Watch Jimmy Kimmel Live! at 11:35 p.m. ET | 10:35 p.m. CT each weeknight to see if your "Finger of Shame" made it on to the show.
