J.K. Rowling confirmed that Jewish and LGBT students attended Hogwarts in her "Harry Potter" series.

J.K. Rowling recently made buzz online after tweeting that a Jewish student was in attendance at Hogwarts in her "Harry Potter" series.

This then led to fans asking Rowling other questions regarding the diversity of Hogwarts' student body. One Twitter user Clara Oswiin reached out to Rowling, inquiring if there were also LGBT students at Hogwarts.

Rowling then replied with the following tweet, which included a poster created by The Youth Project in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Rowling's tweet received a positive reaction online, with many tweeting kind words to the author.

Rowling recently announced she'd be releasing new "Harry Potter" writing in the days leading up to Christmas.
