Land of Oz announces 'Journey with Dorothy' tour dates
BEECH MOUNTAIN, NC (WTVD) -- When Dorothy left Kansas, she probably had no idea the Land of Oz was right here in North Carolina.
That's right, Beech Mountain, to be exact. And you can visit Oz with the ultimate tour guide, Dorothy herself.
The private theme park Land of Oz presents Journey with Dorothy, beginning June 3, with other dates June 10, June 17 and June 24. Times start at 10:30 a.m. and run every hour through 3:30 p.m.
Tickets are very limited and go on sale every Monday before each tour date.
Ticket prices are $12.50 for general admission, plus $10 for roundtrip chair lift tickets up and down the mountain.
The Land of Oz's website notes that:
The Land of Oz is a vintage private property has many uneven paths and walkways and is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible or stroller friendly.
Although Journey with Dorothy Tours are limited, there is no limit to scenic lift rides.
