Popular indoor playground offers free summer open play

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The Rainbow Party Room is a huge play space located inside the Tots to Teens and Rainbow Play Systems showroom on Glenwood Avenue which includes a giant indoor Rainbow Play System.

The Rainbow Room will hold free open play sessions on Mondays from 10am-2pm through Labor Day.

New owner, Amy Kurz, took over the company which also sells kids furniture with Tots to Teens in the same building as Rainbow Play Systems and The Rainbow Party Room.

Kurz installed a new Rainbow Play System which includes a small theater and other imaginary play areas as well as the popular giant slides and climbing areas kids love.

"They have 15 foot slides," Kurz said. "And, of course, the turbo slide is everybody's favorite!"

Kurz said she decided to hold the free open play sessions after a large turnout with two other free events, one for the grand opening, the other for Memorial Day.

"We just decided it would be great to do this every Monday for the summer," Kurz said.

"Open play is from 10am-2pm every Monday from now until Labor Day. It will be free and we would love for everyone to come and play with us, beat the heat."

The Rainbow Party Room is located at 8732 Glenwood Ave in Raleigh.
