CARY, NC (WTVD) -- You can travel back to the 80's this weekend at Koka Booth Amphitheatre. The jukebox musical Rock of Ages is opening September 7 and runs through September 10.

Set in Los Angeles' Sunset Strip in 1987, Rock of Ages tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit and Sherrie, a small-town girl. Both of them are in L.A. to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love.

The show features the hits of Joan Jett, Journey, Foreigner, Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Poison, Whitesnake, and more.

This is the first time Theatre Raleigh and Koka Booth Amphitheatre have teamed up for a production.
