A capella superstars Pentatonix will perform the iconic score from ''Star Wars'' with a full symphony orchestra.
One Direction, whose new album comes out Nov. 13, will be performing their new single ''Perfect.''
First-time nominee Abel Tesfaye, known by his stage name the Weeknd, will debut his hit song ''The Hills.''
Duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, who won two rap/hip hop categories in 2013, will be performing on the AMAs once again.
Gwen Stefani, known for being a member of No Doubt and for her solo work, will perform for the third time.
Coldplay, who will release their seventh album on Dec. 4, will return to the AMA stage.
First-time nominees Walk the Moon, best known for their hit ''Shut Up and Dance,'' will perform at the AMAs.
Demi Lovato, whose fifth album ''CONFIDENT'' dropped in October, will perform on the AMAs for the first time.
Nick Jonas will appear in his first solo performance during the American Music Awards.
Meghan Trainor will perform two songs, one with Charlie Puth. Both will be performing on the AMAs for the first time.
Luke Bryan and Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town will perform the world premiere of ''Home Alone Tonight'' during the AMAs.

Three artists with brand new music will be taking the stage in November during the American Music Awards: Selena Gomez, Carrie Underwood and 5 Seconds of Summer.

Following the announcement of the awards' nominees last week, the world's biggest fan-voted award show just announced more of the performances fans can expect.

The newly annnounced performers all have new music out. Gomez's new album Revival debuted at the top spot on Billboard's album chart earlier this month.

The three join Jennifer Lopez, who is hosting the show and was already slated to perform.

The performances all have custom emoji to accompany their hashtags, which began trending soon after the announcement was made.
