But this isn't your usual slate of new Fall TV shows. ABC has assembled a new swarm of entertaining programs to appease to viewers of all shapes and sizes.

Here are seven reasons you should be excited for ABC's Fall premiere schedule.

1. Viola Davis makes a killing in "How to Get Away With Murder."

Davis became a national sensation for her understated Oscar-nominated performance as Civil Rights era maid Aibileen Clark in "The Help." But Davis is set to capture viewer's attention again as the brilliant and mysterious law professor Annalise Keating in "How To Get Away With Murder." The program has already been getting rave reviews from critics, and Davis' Keating will likely be one of the most entertaining characters to watch this Fall on any network.

More than a year since its theatrical release, moviegoers and TV viewers still have a burning case of "Frozen" fever. So naturally "Frozen" fans have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Arrendale's favorite royal residents Elsa and Anna in "Once Upon a Time." Things are about to get a bit chilly in Storybrooke.

3. We finally find out where in the world is "Scandal's" Olivia Pope.

ABC

Spoilers for those who haven't caught up on "Scandal" yet, but the explosive end of season three saw Olivia departing for unknown political pastures. And while fans are definitely excited to see Fitz return to the Oval Office and the latest intrigue between Pope's parents and B-613, finding out where Olivia went to will be one of the biggest mysteries solved of the Fall season.

4. "Black-ish" promises to be the next smart, culturally-relevant comedy.

ABC

ABC has established a reputation for creating comedies that delve away from the standard sitcom clichs. "The Goldbergs," "The Middle," and "Modern Family" have all presented families who are touching and rich in their complexity. ABC plans to make funny headways again with "Black-ish," a show about one African-American family's struggle to retain a strong identity in a predominantly white, upper-middle-class neighborhood. "Black-ish" will touch on important social issues while still making us laugh.

5. "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." provides a deeper look into the "Marvel" universe.

ABC

The months waiting between this past Summer's "Guardians of the Galaxy" and next years "Avengers: Age of Ultron" may seem like an eternity. But "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." is where viewers can get their comic-book action fix in the meantime. Plus with Agent Coulson's mysterious drawing at the end of season 2, this season will have the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents delving into more thrilling storyline territory.

6. "Selfie" will get all your Facebook likes.

ABC

For anyone whose ever felt bogged down by their busy Facebook or Instagram feed, "Selfie" is the comedy for you. Focusing on social media maven Eliza Dooley, "Selfie" gives a look at Dooley as she struggles to ditch the Candy Crush and Facebook for some actual real-life relationships. With "Guardians of the Galaxy's" Karen Gillan starring as Eliza and John Cho marketing guru Henry Higgs, "Selfie" promises to be one of the most clever and funniest slots in your TV and social media lineup.

7. You can dance if you want to, you can leave old "Dancing With the Stars" casts behind.

ABC

"Dancing With the Stars" premiered on September 15th, and there's already been a heap of discussion over which stars will make it to the final cut. Included in this year's lineup is actress Lea Thompson, UFC champion and actor Randy Couture, classic stoner comedy veteran Tommy Chong, and "Pretty Little Liars" actress Janel Parrish. Expect to tango with your TV all season long with "Dancing With the Stars."
