Designers reimagine best picture nominees in stunning pop art posters

In celebration of movies and culture, the talented designers from Shutterstock were challenged to recreate all the best picture nominees movie posters in the style of pop art.

As a condition of the challenge, the designers had to create the posters using only the assets available on Shutterstock.

"This seems to be the year of the individual, with personal stories of triumph, heartbreak, and determination holding strong throughout the list of nominated films," wrote designer Jordan Roland. "They, along with the complex characters from all the other Best Picture nominees, are hard enough to distill in a few images, but trying to add some light and levity to the topics was a challenge our team was glad to tackle."
