Super Bowl Halftime show
Coldplay spoke to the media Thursday ahead of their halftime performance

SAN FRANCISCO (WTVD) -- Projections have 114 million people tuning in Sunday to watch Super Bowl 50.

Sure, football fans will be a decent part of the audience, but network execs and the NFL know to cater to those focused on entertainment...and this year promises to deliver.

Coldplay talks to the media about the Super Bowl Halftime Show

Coldplay and Beyonce should be able to tackle the need for a wide-ranging audience. Bruno Mars (it has been leaked) will join the stage. That wasn't confirmed at the press conference.

The Super Bowl headlining band recently released their 7th album. On Monday, Cam newton said his favorite Coldplay song was the hit Clocks.

Kicking things off will be versatile lady Gaga, who will sing the national anthem. The 6-time Grammy winner will set the tone for the whole show.
