RALEIGH (WTVD) -- "Come on guys, get out of your chair!" chimes a peppy producer to a room full of excited people. Dancing and free T-shirts ensue.

It's all part of the fun of auditioning for the chance to be on the hit show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. The game show auditions rolled into Raleigh early Monday morning at Raleighwood Cinema and Grill.

More than 400 people passed through the doors at 7 a.m., hoping for their chance.

"I love this show. I mean, you know, it's sort of a crazy obsession. Some people get crazy and go to Comic-Con every year. I do Who Wants to Be a Millionaire audition," said Louis Nettles, who drove up from South Carolina for the audition. He's auditioned before.

"This is my 13th time. I keep hoping," Nettles said.

One of the show's producers said the show is now better than ever.

"New season, lots of changes. Lots of new exciting ways to win money, and then I think - most importantly of all - new host. We have Terry Crews. He's absolutely fantastic," said producer Liz Harris.

She said the Raleigh audition could net the show's next contestant.

"We're taping in the next three months, so yeah, it could be very soon that someone from here is standing on our stage," said Harris.
