FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Hundreds of ghosts, goblins, princesses and superheroes flooded downtown Fayetteville Halloween night.
Local businesses opened their doors to trick-or-treaters during an annual celebration of Halloween, sponsored by the Fayetteville Downtown Alliance.
Some businesses offered prizes, haunted houses and other treats. ABC1's Greg Barnes and Nicole Carr gave away treats outside the Fayetteville Eyewitness News Center on Hay Street.
The event runs 4-6 p.m. every year, giving residents a safe, fun option similar to neighborhood trick-or-treating.
County and city-wide, law enforcement officials are asking residents to wrap up trick-or-treating festivities by 8 p.m.
