Businesses offer freebies for tax day
From ice cream to free meals, corporations are offering freebies and deals on or around tax day to help ease the stress of doing your taxes.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Filing your taxes can be stressful, but, some companies are helping to relieve that stress with some freebies.

Baskin Robbins is offering a coupon for a buy one get one free cone through April 17.

Kona Ice will be out and about on tax day with trucks parked at post offices and other businesses to hand out free cups of tropical shaved ice and leis as part of their 'National Chill Out Day' to help tax filers relax.

Ben and Jerry's is also handing out free cones the day before tax day, Tuesday, April 14 from noon until 8pm for customer appreciation.

Hydromassage is offering a free massage with a coupon through Friday, April 17.

Participating IHOP restaurants are offering a promotion all month that lets your tax dependents who are under 12 eat free from 4 to 10 p.m.

Participating McDonald's locations will also be offering a deal on tax day, if you buy a Big Mac or Quarter Pounder, you can get a second one for one cent.

And, to help you shred all that paperwork that you may not need after you file your taxes, Office Depot is offering 2 pounds of free shredding with a coupon through April 25.

Staples is also offering five pounds of free document shredding with a coupon through May 2.
