MoneySaver: Best buys of February
The holiday season may be over, but retailers continue their seasonal sales.

President's Day is a big day for sales and the team at BradsDeals.com point out sales start early.

"Waiting until Monday, President's Day itself, is probably a bad strategy because you will find the more deeper discounted, most wanted items will be out of stock," said Sean Graw of BradsDeals.com.

"In terms of what's on sale, furniture is always huge. IKEA always does something big," he said. "Overstock.com is a great one."

Besides furniture, Graw says his team also finds February to be a big month for brand name electronics as well.

"We see the best discounts on the name brand electronics," he explained. "So, Samsung, LG, Dell, the higher end stuff has great deals throughout President's Day."

You can also expect big savings on Valentine's Day items the day after the celebration.

"Of course we're going to see on the 15th, prices for roses and flowers and chocolates -- they're just going to plummet," said Graw. "So, if you've got a use for that stuff after Valentine's Day, that's a great time to buy it."

He also points out, it's February is a great time to book your spring break trip as well.

"It's kind of 'a myth' that it is best to book flights on Monday and Tuesday throughout the week. It's not actually a myth. It's actually true," he said. "If you're booking a spring break trip, I'd say look into it this week or next because if you wait any longer, you're kind of at the mercy of the airlines."
